Rides to The Ride

Join one of several rides to The Ride for Safe Streets. Each ride will be at a slow and comfortable pace for families to join. Groups are encouraging their riders to dress-up and decorate, so come for a festive atmosphere.

Safe 35th in Wedgwood

Meet: 11:30am, NE 86th St & 35th Ave NE
Two Routes:

  1. Burke-Gilman Trail to Eastlake Ave to Fairview Ave to Dexter to Bell to 2nd Ave PBL to the City Hall

  2. Burke-Gilman Trail to UW Light Rail Station and then light rail to Pioneer Square Light Rail Station

Multiple Starting Locations:

  • 11:45am, Cafe Red near Othello Light Rail Station

  • 12:20pm, The Station/Plaza Roberto Maestas near Beacon Hill Light Rail Station

Route: From Cafe Red, ride the Chief Sealth Trail and Beacon Hill Neighborhood Greenway to The Station/Plaza Roberto Maestas, then onward to city hall. The route is meant to encourage people to ride who might otherwise not feel comfortable and as such we will go slow and steady and no one will be left behind.

Duwamish Valley Safe Streets

Meet: 12pm, All City Coffee in Georgetown
Rollout: 12:10pm
Route: The route is a 5-mile mix of riding in regular traffic lanes, sharrows, and bike lanes.
Note: Signs, decorations, costumes, music, messaging, etc are encouraged!
